on Saturday we needed to do boring stuff like return things to Ikea but we also decided to swing by Pirate O's Gourmet Market to see if it is, in fact, awesome. in short, yes, it is. it didn't look like much at first (I think it was the gift baskets sign), but then it delivered in all the ways. tons of sodas! weird candies! and delicious cheeses! we focused on the sodas though, cause we're kinda obsessed with soda ever since we watched this video. JG got the best ginger ale I think I'll ever taste, and I've tried a lot of ginger ales and beers. I see myself making lots of excuses to go to Draper for various non-Pirate-O related reasons that'll help justify making regular stops there. plus, those sodas are in a refrigerated room which feels really great on those 102º days we keep having.

after enjoying two sodas each, that night we headed to the ole Gallivan Center for the Folk & Bluegrass Festival cause Justin Townes Earle was the last act and we thought to ourselves, we like live music. the weather was actually pretty perfect by that point, we remembered a blanket to lay on, and the addition of one of JG's good friends made it all pretty great. frankly, I was disappointed with JTE, but I can't complain since it was free. and I do love a good summer night spent outside.
