three-oh

I turned 30 ten days ago and I kinda expected to have some sort of freakout about it which never happened and so the whole thing was pretty anticlimactic. then again, my mind was occupied elsewhere what with JG getting t-boned by a car while riding his bike home from the train station a couple days before. (consider this my PSA about how awesome helmets are and how drivers need to watch out for cyclists. following an ambulance isn't that fun. luckily JG is pretty much okay.)
but my birthday was really great, actually. I watched my sis finish the haunted half and ate way too much and saw joanna brooks speak and went on a one item shopping-spree. we kept forgetting to make a cake til wednesday, but it was a raw cashew dreamcake which was really good and we opted for three candles instead of thirty. oh, and in true form JG got me flowers. in a pumpkin, no less.
